Well, the day came... Even after kickin' the ole washer two (2) times during each washing cycle, it gave up the ghost.
SO, RHOnda ordered a new one on-line. The "least expensive". 'Cos washing clothes is what washers do, eh. They don't HAVE to be stainless steel red to do their job.
"Sudsy" arrived. Ta-DA!! Complete with an electronic mind :/ that's smarter than us. Lots of humming and weird noises that--according to the manual--are "normal".
AND a drum that could wash all the clothes we own PLUS yours!! I NEVER have big loads. We're two tidy seniors :/. HOW big is the drum, you ask?? Well, to get the last socks out, 'lil Miss 5' tall must stand on one, ballerina-toed leg and s-t-r-e-t-c-h!! ;D
Funny, this new technology stuff, eh... I MISS my ole kickin' machine... :'(

GAD - I JUST now saw your answer to my comment - I don't check gmail very often....:)) One of these days I will come to Montreal. I need to renew that passport...darn. I don't like that I even need one to just putz on up to Canada after all...my native land.
