The 24th of May is Queen Victoria Day...

"The 24th of May
Is the Queen's birthday.
And If we don't get a holiday,
We'll all run away." *

It's tea time in our home. A special tea to celebrate all that is good and right. About family and love and manners and rituals. It's RHOnda's favourite civil holiday. A day to celebrate BEING English, not just speaking English. A day to celebrate being an old-fashioned gal who loves flouncy skirts, lace, children and kittens...

Happy Queen Victoria Day!! (Never mind that the "calendar date" is changed!)

* Thanks to "JoanN5A" and "Sew'N'Go", two Canadian PR members, for the corrected poem!!

I'd never heard that rhyme. We've been watching the BBC Pride and Prejudice series. It's amazing how quickly you can pick up the speech patterns, lol. And very funny hearing it come from my 7yo DD.
