RHOTO hasn't been feeling well for several days, but TOny seemed especially "under the weather". Finally, we called 911. Since it wasn't an "emergency", an ambulance arrived--without lights & sirens--two (2) hours later.In came two (2), friendly, well-trained "techniciens ambulancier". They took lots of time listening to TOny... Checked his blood pressure & blood oxygen #. We, as a team of four (4), decided that it wasn't necessary for TOny to go to Hospital at this time. There is an epidemic of gastro flu going around. No FUN, eh! So, Gravol was prescribed (for nausia and sleep), lots of hearty "Get Well"'s were wished, and the techs were off to the next address...
We are SOOOO fortunate here in Quebec to have this service. First, 911 assesses the situation, then techicians come to "check it out". This service is "free" (with taxes, eh) for Seniors. It's much better than waiting 16 hours in Emergency at Hospital--in a room full of sick people, 'Bless them!
'Guess we'll just be taking it easy here for awhile... zzzzzzzzzzzz

Sure hope Tony feels better soon! I just got my first cold of the season--on Christmas Eve. DS#1 brought it home. Today is the first day I'm feeling better but I've been SO tired, congested chest, sinus headache--just one of those feel-awful colds.
That 911 service sure sounds like a good thing!
