Pleasure Saving

OK, we don't "have to". "Times are not difficult for us". Thank goodness! But, we (RHOTO) are going to... Save for Pleasure, that is!!
And, where it's easiest for us to save is at the grocery store. (We should frequent the one with prices at left, eh!) We want to save on household expenses to spend $$$ on pleasure... a trip for two (2) to Holland, for instance. Now THAT would be a "fun" incentive!!
We have several ideas in mind to accomplish this:

1. We'll check our current pantry, fridge & freezers inventory. Also check for post-dated produce & milk products (that's where we have most of our waste);
2. And use up/reduce the bulging supply at home first. We will keep a reservation in case of bad weather (when we can't get out).
3. We'll only buy what we need. (For example, today we only need milk & want coffee creamer.) We have a well-thought out Shopping List, and we keep to it in the store.

So, all the $$$ saved that is less than our "normal" grocery bill will be earmarked for Pleasure.
One of the components of successful shopping is that we both agree on matters of nutrition. (There isn't a Donut Stasher * in the house.) So, we don't sabetage each other's efforts. We are confident that this method of shopping will benefit not only our debits, but also our health!!
Here's to YOURS!!
